Cafa advised Ware-Butler, Inc. and its shareholders in the sale of its hardware store business consisting of 15 retail sites and 3 manufacturing facilities in the State of Maine to Hammond Lumber Company which already operated 22 stores across Maine and in New Hampshire.

Cafa advised the shareholders of DeSerres, Lamarche Importation and Cadres Verbec, in the sale to the Renaud-Bray group. DeSerres is a leading Canadian art supplies retailer, Lamarche is a distributor of stationery products and Cadres Verbec is a framing services provider.

Cafa assisted the shareholders of Appalaches Nature, a maple syrup business, in the sale to Industries Bernard et Fils, a subsidiary of Bain Capital’s platform portfolio company Valeo Foods.

Cafa advised the shareholders of Sushi Taxi Group, a chain of sushi restaurants based in Quebec, on the sale of their shares to À la Bouffe, a strategic acquirer.

Les Aliments LUDA Foods, a creator of soups, sauces and custom blends for the food service and industrial markets since 1951, has acquired Delmare Quality Foods of Toronto. Cafa acted as exclusive financial advisor to Luda for the acquisition and its financing.

Cafa advised the shareholder of L’Artisan du Plancher, Montreal’s leading provider of hardwood floor sanding services to single-family homes, in the sale to 9259-3037 Québec Inc. and 9375-5932 Québec Inc.

Cafa advised the shareholders of QHouse Kids, a high-end juvenile and baby products distributor based in Montreal, on the sale of its shares to a strategic acquirer (confidential).

Cafa advised the shareholders of Access Mini-Storage Inc., a self–storage company based in Montreal, in the sale to Bluebird Storage Group Inc., an Ontario-based industry consolidator.

Cafa advised Famille Michaud, a European leader in natural sweetening products, in acquiring a majority equity stake in Biodélices, a Quebec-based provider of maple syrup.

Cafa advised Communauto, an international leader in car sharing services, in an equity financing round with automobile manufacturer Peugeot and Montreal-based investment fund MKB.

Cafa advised the shareholders of Touch, a single-use consumer products distributor, in the sale of the company to Polar Plastic Ltd.

Cafa advised 9333-9455 Québec Inc. in the acquisition of Sushi Taxi, a sushi restaurant chain comprising of 17 restaurants across Quebec.
