Rios-Karim Mercier

Rios joined Cafa in 2012 with a valuable manufacturing and sales experience and an excellent understanding of what makes an operation profitable.

Rios has led a number of sell-side mandates and management buyouts. He has also represented clients in buy-side mandates and financings, including many cross-border transactions in Canada, Europe and the United States.

Rios began his career as a chemist, working for BASF and Henkel in both Europe and North America where he held a variety of progressive roles including technical sales representative.

An interest in finance led Rios to redirecting his career and obtaining his MBA.

In addition to his MBA from the John Molson School of Business, Rios holds an Honors BSc with Specialization in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. He is fluently bilingual.
