Dany is an expert in cross-border deals overseeing Cafa’s operations in Europe. Over the past 24 years, he has advised and assisted numerous UK and European executives and entrepreneurs looking to expand their industrial, commercial or R&D operations overseas.
Dany has developed a solid experience in setting up and financing overseas operations. He has also gained valuable expertise in cross-cultural negotiation and management thanks to his past postings in Moscow, London and Paris.
Prior to joining Cafa in 2012, Dany contributed to the international roll-out of Quebec’s State-owned business and investment bank, Invest-Quebec, setting up and running the New London office from 2004 to 2009. He was subsequently posted to Invest-Quebec’s Paris office to oversee business development on the Continent.
During his 12 years within Invest-Quebec’s team, in Montreal, London, then Paris, Dany successfully landed several investment projects in Canada coming from markets as diverse as the UK, the Nordic Countries, France, Spain, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, New Zealand and Northern Africa.
Prior to his work with Invest Quebec, Dany assisted Canadian companies looking to enter the Eastern and Central European markets, notably as a Trade Officer for the Canadian Embassy in Moscow and as an International Trade Advisor for the Quebec Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Dany holds a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Management from HEC Montreal and an MA in International Studies with a specialization in Commerce from Université Laval, as well as a Russian Studies Certificate.
