Louis Séguin

Louis brings valuable extended experience in helping corporations achieve growth objectives and strategic changes. As a business lawyer for four decades, Louis has been involved in numerous project implementations and has also held senior management positions.

Louis has extensive M&A experience with privately held companies across a broad sphere of industries. He has acted for buyers and sellers alike, both domestically and in cross-border transactions with US and European counterparts. He also has a solid background in major and strategic transaction negotiations, financing, investment and capital raising operations, and in corporate governance.

Louis spent the better part of his career as a business lawyer at a major Canadian-based international law firm, first as an associate and thereafter as a Partner in the Business law group. He later joined the senior management team of a privately held insurance and financial services group active in Canada, the United States and France, where he led the legal affairs and corporate secretariat group and played a key role in various special projects.

Louis holds Bachelors’ Degrees in business administration from HEC Montreal (University of Montreal) and in civil law from McGill University.
